School candidates i.e. school pupils only pay the exam board entry fees. All other costs are covered by the school. School candidates usually sit some exams in Year 10 and the rest in Year 11. Letters are sent out in February/March to inform parents about exam arrangements and pupils are given all the information they need, including the exam timetable.
